Dr. Prashant Chhajed is a highly accomplished pulmonologist with over 31 years of experience, including 26 years as a specialist. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Mumbai and pursued advanced training in respiratory medicine and lung transplantation at prestigious institutions in Australia, Japan, and Switzerland. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Institute of Pulmonology and Lung Care & Sleep Centre at Fortis Hospital in Mumbai.

An esteemed educator and researcher, Dr. Chhajed has authored over 120 scientific publications and has been recognized with multiple awards for his research presentations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and has held leadership roles in various national and international medical organizations, including the Indian Chest Society and the European Association for Bronchology.
