Dr. Pankaj Shah, Senior Medical Oncologist & Hematologist, is one of the most respected pillars of Zydus Cancer Hospital and a legendary figure in cancer care in India. With an illustrious career spanning over 50 years, he has transformed oncology practice through clinical excellence, leadership, and academic mentorship. A recipient of prestigious honors including the Padma Shri and the Dr. B.C. Roy Award, Dr. Shah is widely recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to Medical Oncology and Hematology.

He has mentored generations of oncologists and hemato-oncologists, playing a pivotal role in shaping the specialty in Gujarat and across the country. His distinguished career includes serving as Director of GCRI (2002–2011), Chief of Medical Oncology at GCRI (1973–2002), and Founder Teacher of the DM Medical Oncology program at Gujarat University.
